How we work with you

More than filling a seat

Project support is one part of it. Our work runs from the first brief to the review after the assignment, and the shape it takes depends on what you actually need.

The company behind the work

M.S. Management Services BV

Every assignment described on this page is contracted with M.S. Management Services BV.

  1. 01

    Brief and context

We start from your project reality: how the team actually operates, what the DNA looks like, what the constraints are. Not a keyword list.

  2. 02

    Search and assessment

Real conversations with real people. We weigh technical fit against mindset, then bring forward a shortlist we would work with ourselves.

  3. 03

    Contract and payroll

On staffed assignments the employment, salary administration and employer obligations sit with us. You get the person in your team without carrying the employment relationship.

  4. 04

    Day one and beyond

We are in the room on day one, then keep checking in with the team member and the line manager as the work develops.

  5. 05

    Review and next step

At the agreed review we decide together: extend the assignment, move the person onto your payroll, or close it out cleanly.

How we select

Four rules we do not bend

A CV is an entry ticket. What decides a lasting collaboration is everything that does not fit on paper.

  • We weigh skills and mindset

Technical fit gets someone through the door. Attitude and cultural fit decide whether the collaboration lasts.

  • We map your DNA first

Before we search, we work out how your organisation actually operates. Then we mirror that in the search.

  • We never place on paper alone

A CV is an entry ticket. We bring people forward after real conversations, not after a keyword match.

  • Quality over quantity

Boutique means every placement gets the attention it deserves.

Services

Five ways we work with you

Some engagements are a single project. Others are leadership cover, a permanent hire, support for the people already on your payroll, or a specialist employed here while they deliver for you abroad. All five are agreed case by case, with transparent terms set out before the work begins.

  • Flexible staffing

In your team, on our payroll

Flexible staffing is the idea behind most of what we do: the person works fully inside your organisation, while the employment relationship stays with us. The professional is employed by M.S. Management Services BV for the length of the assignment and joins your project environment from day one.

  • Recruitment & search

A lasting hire on your payroll

When you want someone on your own payroll for good, we run a targeted search from specialist to senior management level, combining assessment and shortlist support with discretion and depth adapted to the role.

  • Interim management

Leadership cover for a defined period

When a leadership or specialist seat must be filled on a deadline, we bring in an experienced interim manager for a defined period, so operational continuity is not left waiting on a recruitment cycle.

  • Career guidance

Clarity for the people already with you

Structured, confidential support for professionals at a crossroads — their next step, strengths, values, work preferences and realistic options. For an organisation, it is a way to keep good people moving forward instead of walking away.

  • Belgian contract, international work

    Employed here, delivering abroad

You need a capability delivered and the right person for it lives in Belgium. Opening a Belgian payroll for one engagement is disproportionate, and pushing the person into self-employment puts the risk on them.

Read about MS Management philosophy

In Belgium, the probation period does not exist. I mean it. It was legally abolished in 2014. From day one, every permanent employee has a full notice period and full protection. For companies, this means hiring someone for a top position without knowing whether that person will operate within your specific culture. This is why a growing number of Belgian companies choose to work with contractors before converting them to permanent roles. Companies do not aim to avoid commitment; they are genuinely trying to make the right choice. Which brings us to the question every professional eventually asks: "Will I ever become permanent?" The question is fully justified. Most staffing arrangements end with the contractor being replaced, the project ending, or the company finding a reason to renegotiate. A company brings in a professional through us. The new team member starts working, onboarding, and building relationships with the team. Both sides observe whether the culture fits, the output is aligned, and the chemistry works. Throughout this period, we stay involved: coaching, regular check-ins with both the contractor and the line manager, a three-way partnership in which gaps are spotted early and addressed before they grow. After a sustained period of positive collaboration, when the professional knows the role, the company knows what they're getting, and trust has been established through daily work rather than interview impressions, the transfer happens. The professional moves directly from our payroll to the client's payroll. • No transfer fee. • No additional cost to the client. • No renegotiation pressure on the team member. This matters because it removes the conflict of interest built into traditional staffing. As Stijn puts it: you only sign the marriage contract when both sides are sure. By the time the transition happens, it's not a leap of faith. It's a confirmation of what's already working. If you are a candidate and a company that genuinely interests you offers a contractor position, do not hesitate. There is a clear logic behind it, and it works in your favor too: you get time to experience the culture, the team, and the role before making your own long-term decision. The contractor phase isn't a holding pattern. It's the foundation.
